Optional guided tour of Auguste Rodin exhibition

Networking evening

The networking evening will take place at the Mundaneum, a museum and archive centre located in the heart of Mons.

The origins of the Mundaneum date back to the late 19th century. Created oby two Belgian jurists, Paul Otlet, the father of documentation, and Henri La Fontaine, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, the Mundaneum originally intended to bring together all the world’s knowledge and classify it according to a system they had developed, called “the Universal Decimal Classification” (UDC). Nicknamed the “paper Google”, the Mundaneum is listed in UNESCO’s “Memory of the World” register and has been awarded the “European Heritage” label.

MuseumPass

Conference participants will be offered a museum pass including free or concessionary fare access to the major museums located in Mons (valid until the 21st April 2024).
An optional guided tour of the Auguste Rodin A Modern Renaissance Exhibition will take place on the afternoon of 19 April. This exhibition brings together over 200 pieces borrowed from the Rodin Museum in Paris, international institutions and private collections.
